Meet our 2018-2019 DOTs!

Anna Pelz

Voice Part: Alto 1 | Year in DOTs: 1st

Anna is a first year in ERC studying linguistics and political science, and she is originally from Eugene, Oregon. Outside of DOTs, she enjoys doing yoga and cooking. She is also the fundraising manager for It’s On Us, an organization working to stop sexual assault at UCSD. Her favorite food is tofu and her go-to karaoke song is anything from Hamilton. She has a pet bunny named Sylvia and a pet dog named Huckleberry. Her favorite part of DOTs is the incredibly supportive community and all of the friends she has made through it!

Alexandra Wei

Voice Part: Soprano 2, Alto 2 | Year in DOTs: 2nd

Alexandra is a fourth year Linguistics major and Design minor, and she is wrapping up her final year in DOTs. She loves how DOTs has helped her increase her singing range and improve her stage confidence when performing! Aside from singing, Alexandra enjoys hiking, reading, and artsy things. She is currently working on adding surfing to her repertoire 🙂 Other organizations that Alexandra is involved in include UCSD STRIVE and Circle K International.

Ashley Furuya

Voice Part: Alto 1, Alto 2 | Year in DOTs: 1st

Ashley is a freshman Linguistics major from the Bay Area. Her current go-to songs are “Swan Song” and “Night Shift,” but she will sing along to anything. For karaoke, she is totally down to cabinet battle Anna. Besides music, Ashley also enjoys playing volleyball with her friends, watching Queer Eye on Netflix, and learning how to cook. As a first year in DOTs, she loves how this singing group is not only focused on creating music but also on making friends and supporting one another.

Callie Suppa

Voice Part: Bass, Vocal Percussion | Year in DOTs: 2nd | Public Relations Chair & Performance Coordinator

Callie is a Communications major and Human Rights minor from Burbank, California. Having a performance background in show choir and musical theater, she was so happy and continue singing in college and be part of DOTs. She is also involved in PHC sorority, Chi Omega, and the DJ club, DVC. Her hobbies include eating pizza, raving and hula-hooping.

Carianne Lefebvre

Voice Part: Soprano 1 | Year in DOTs: 1st

Carianne is a first year Neurobiology major from Fontana, California. She loves all things music, from singing to playing piano and clarinet, but with DOTs she’s truly found her passion! She loves drawing, napping, crying over Game of Thrones and Marvel, and saying “y’all” even though she’s born and raised in Cali. DOTs has become her favorite part of being at UCSD and she can’t wait to spend more years with all these lovely ladies!

Chloris Li

Voice Part: Alto 1, Alto 2, Vocal Percussion | Year in DOTs: 4th | Music Director

Chloris is a fourth year Theatre and Psychology double major. Her two favorite things in the world are watermelons and cows! During her free time, you may catch her watching Youtube videos, eating french fries, rocking out on the piano, playing Minesweeper, or going on photo adventures. Chloris is also involved with Muir Musical and Circle K International. DOTs has helped her grow as both a performer and a leader, and she is proud to be a part of this community of strong and empowering women who will change the world!

Cloie Chiong

Voice Part: Soprano 2, Alto 1 | Year in DOTs: 2nd

Cloie is a fourth year Human Biology major and Global Health minor. Currently, she is Co-President of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Health Honor Society. In addition, she is a Research Assistant at the UCSD School of Medicine and at the VA Hospital, and she also volunteers at the VA Hospital! She loves to shop, eat at Convoy, volunteer on clinic trips down in Tijuana, and take naps literally anywhere possible. Cloie enjoys singing with DOTs because it is a stress reliever, and through DOTs she was able to expand her comfort zone and meet really great friends! “Yee haw”

Daeun Chung

Voice Part: Soprano 1 | Year in DOTs: 1st

[bio coming soon!]

Dana Reyes

Voice Part: Soprano 2, Alto 1 | Year in DOTs: 1st

Dana is a fourth year Human Biology major with a minor in Psychology. She enjoys reading, baking, trying new foods and restaurants and, of course, singing! She also belongs to the American Medical Student Association on campus. Her dog’s name is Nemo and that also happens to be the name of her favorite movie, which she can recite from memory from watching it so much. Her favorite thing about DOTs is that the unique qualities from all the girls bring such a warmness to the group and everyone truly cares about each other and that makes performing with them so fun and fulfilling.

Helen Oh

Voice Part: Soprano 1 | Year in DOTs: 1st

Helen is a third year studying International Business. She has always involved herself in the music world: as a previous concertmistress of the Symphonic Orchestra in St. Louis, as a solo pianist, as a member of UCSD Dancesport team, and now, of course, as a member of DOTs this school year. However, DOTs definitely has a special place in her heart, out of all her musical involvements, and she can’t wait to continue singing alongside such an amazing group of women! Other than her love for music, Helen loves to engage herself with children and is always down for food adventures.

Julianne Chen

Voice Part: Soprano 2, Vocal Percussion | Year in DOTs: 2nd | Vice President

Julianne is a third year Cognitive Science and Music Performance double major. In addition to singing, her main instrument is cello, but she also plays piano, clarinet, and flute! In Julianne’s spare time, she enjoys photography, calligraphy, traveling, snacking, and saying “yeet” unironically! Besides DOTs, Julianne is an intern at ArtPower and Secretary of Initiative for Music Education and Mentorship. Her favorite part of DOTs is the bond that she feels between all of the girls because it is really something special <3

Kali Mitchell-Silbaugh

Voice Part: Bass | Year in DOTs: 1st

Kali is a freshman at UCSD, currently studying Literature and Theatre, but she has been heavily involved with musical theater/singing since 2013. Outside of singing, she loves writing, playing the drums, and coming up with puns that she thinks are hilarious (others tend to disagree). She is the proud parent of a fish named Nigel and hopes to one day adopt a wombat.  Kali is so grateful to be a DOT and loves singing with the talented, amazing, powerful female rockstars she is lucky enough to call her friends ☺

Liana Medeiros

Voice Part: Soprano 2, Alto 1 | Year in DOTs: 1st

Liana is a first year Cognitive Science major. She was born in San Diego but moved to São Paulo, Brazil when she was 12 and has just moved back to attend UCSD. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and friends, obsessing over Harry Potter, and drinking lots of coffee. Liana’s favorite part of DOTs is being with amazing ladies who inspire her everyday, and her go to karaoke song is anything she can get the crowd to sing along with!

Lizze Fisher

Voice Part: Soprano 2, Alto 1 | Year in DOTs: 2nd | President

Lizze is the current Daughters of Triton President and is majoring in Music, specializing in vocal performance, in her second year at UCSD. When she’s not singing her heart away with German Lieder songs or “Bohemian Rhapsody”, she works and volunteers at the Food Cooperative in the Old Student Center. She loves to sing with all of her friends in the group and to engage DOTs with the greater UCSD community. Two quirky facts about her include that she one day hopes to own a Beagle named Bagel and that she dreams about being in the Disney Dapper Dans every other day.

Yanchang Li

Voice Part: Alto 2, Bass | Year in DOTs: 1st

Yanchang is a third year majoring in Psychology, but she is graduating this spring! She enjoys listening to all kinds of music, especially with clear rhythms, and she loves to sing along but is bad at remembering lyrics. Yanchang also always cooks new foods, though she ends up with something unexpected 😂 In her free time, she plays puzzles and can spend up to hours finishing them! 🧩
